Thanks! For the purposes of this exchange, I'm not considering Word of God or any other extra-canon sources to be canon so I'll be rejecting this nomination.
Basically: if a character has appeared (or their existence is confirmed) in canon itself, that's great. If you wouldn't know about a character without having interacted with a source outside that canon, that's outside the scope of the exchange.
That said, original characters are fine. If there's a way for the nominator to get close-ish to what they want with an original character, I'd be happy to approve that.
