Shipoween - The Halloween Ship Exchange!

Thank you to everyone for the past two years of this exchange! I apologize for the late notice, but the 2021 round will not be running. While I know this may disappoint some participants, this is a huge relief for me — my real-life obligations always meant that this round would be a tight squeeze.

Luckily, Trick or Treat is going to include ship matching this year in addition to its traditional character matching, so there will still be a way to get your shippy gifts this Halloween.

The new Pumpkin King was kind enough to reach out privately to me in advance for input, and I'm gratefully taking this opportunity to cut back on my modding commitments. I hope everyone has a great time with Trick or Treat. I’ll be signing up there this year too. :)

All participants who posted a gift fulfilling their assignment should have a gift work waiting for them in the collection.

Please get in touch at shipoween@gmx.com (including your AO3 username and a note of the issue) if any of these things are true:

• you fulfilled your assignment on time (or with an agreed extension) but you have not received a gift
  
• your gift does not include a relationship/medium combination that you requested
  
• your gift contains a DNW that you stated in your signup on AO3

Unless any of the above are true (and if they are, please contact me ASAP), please do take the time to read/view and comment on your gift!

Locked/placeholder letters: Some locked letters and placeholders are absolutely to be expected at this point. However, if you linked to a letter in your signup and it's currently locked and/or is a placeholder, it would be much appreciated if you could complete and/or unlock it as soon as you're able!

Recipient questions: Remember, if you need to ask your recipient a question related to your assignment, please email your question to me at shipoween@gmx.com and I'll send it on your behalf. Do not contact them direct. This is in order to maintain your anonymity and keep the fandom you're creating for a surprise!

Gifting to the collection: If you want to create a work based on a fandom/ship/theme combination that doesn't fit a request but was nominated, feel free to gift it to the collection in general. You can add the mod account shipoween or just leave the recipient field blank.

I've contacted AO3 Support to see if they can nudge it along on their side and hopefully matching can proceed shortly.
