Jin Ling’s extra sense of duty along with the instinct to protect and help his eldest uncle! A-Ling in moments with Jin Guangyao that he doesn’t realize are off! Jin Guangyao making A-Ling feel special by giving him secrets to keep, testing him! Jin Guangyao having his influence on Jin Ling visible in the open but nobody realizing what’s happening between them will break my heart and I love it. Jin Ling mourning the loss, or processing that one of his beloved uncles thought of him as a pet rather than as a person. Jin Guangyao enjoying that Jin Ling meshes poorly with others in the sect his own age, and his attachment to his uncles as a result. Jin Guangyao surreptitiously involving others who lack the context to know what is being reinforced like Jiang Cheng or Mo Xuanyu, or someone who doesn’t care, like Xue Yang? Aftermath of the ship, like Jin Ling struggling silently or confiding in someone? Tenderness as cruelty on Jin Guangyao’s part, making sure Jin Ling adores and depends on him? Perfection. Bad ends are welcome, as are other ships involving requested characters. I’ll enjoy this regardless of whether there is a physical component or not. For this request I’d prefer Jin Guangyao in total control.

Jiang Cheng, stern and tough and prone to rages, the man is Jin Ling’s truest model of unconditional love and respect, and his good opinion drove Jin Ling’s personal sense of discipline. Of course Jin Ling adores Jiang Cheng, he is delighted when they get to see and be close to and bond with each other despite how busy Jiang Cheng is with his duties in Yunmeng. Jiang Cheng is the person who loves Jin Ling unconditionally but is terrible at dealing with his emotions, and Jin Ling hadn’t thought before that Jin Guangyao’s doting and mild attitude toward him might be less for his sake than Jiang Cheng’s high standards. It pains me and I love it. A-Ling bursting into tears in front of people, displaying how like Jiang Cheng he is, ruled by emotions and ashamed of the scorn and feeling righteous and guilty at the same time! Jiang Cheng wrestling with feelings about how Jin Ling is as another sect leader or as he becomes a man in his own right; how Jiang Cheng can’t protect A-Ling from everything— or anything, maybe. In a less taboo framework, arranged marriages of uncles or aunts to nieces or nephews sometimes do happen, especially to further solidify political alliances... not the worst idea with the Jin so destabilized. Codependence and mutual pining works well too! I love this ship regardless of whether there’s ever sex or they both just dutifully resist, whether any sex involves penetration, no matter who is putting it in. I just love how intensely they want to be a source of pride and strength and comfort for one another.

Or something during canon - there's a bit of missing time between the explosion and waking up on the lawn and things could have gone much differently. As much as I loved Ethan and Vanessa together, I was always intrigued by the relationship between Malcolm and Ethan. It seemed like Malcolm was less close to Ethan than his other "children" (maybe because Ethan was like him) . And then season 3 hit and all of a sudden Malcolm's mission was getting Ethan back and we had daddy issues all over the place with a biological father and a werewolf father and Malcolm shooting Ethan's bio dad to save him in a church and I started going, wow, that escalated quickly (the unofficial motto of Penny Dreadful).

So I'd love something with the two of them set after the series. I think it leaves it in an interesting place - Ethan's vowed to stay with Malcolm, but no one's in a good mental space and it's not like it's a happy ending just because evil was defeated (temporarily). I mean, Ethan's still a werewolf so there's that to angst about and Malcolm just lost another daughter, so there's plenty of room for people thinking about all the terrible life decisions they've made and deciding to make more by sleeping with each other.

This is one of the pairings that I totally saw coming and yet was delightfully thrilled when it happened! It helps that it's totally like something out of a classic Austen or Regency romance, where you have the gruff gentlemen trying to break into a closed society and a poor, but well-connected lady who learns the value of true friendship (and then of really hot sex with someone who has a very nice boat). I know the show got renewed, but I would love something set after the finale. Where do they head off to? How does Imogen cope with being out of her element and Agreus with losing what he's worked for?

If you're more into something creepy, the fairy world is ready and willing to give you some good nightmare fuel there. Maybe Agreus and Imogen stumble into something neither of them are prepared for? Fairy tale curses? Supernatural creatures? Mysterious lands with laws you didn't know you broke until it was too late?

Could you maybe not cross out the pinch hits when they're claimed? I find it really difficult to read the requests for treating when that happens.
